Heathland Cowl Knitting Pattern

She pulled her coat tight, the new strawberry pink cowl the only thing between her neck and the harsh bite of the cold. Even so, heat rushed up at the thought of a meeting…tonight…in the dark. She followed the calls of the cuckoos out onto the heathland as her free hand reached up to loosen one button, then another. That was enough for now…lest she loose her way in the quicksands.
